야고보서 5
[16] 이러므로 너희 죄를 서로 고하며 병 낫기를 위하여 서로 기도하라 의인의 간구는 역사하는 힘이 많으니라 [17] 엘리야는 우리와 성정이 같은 사람이로되 저가 비 오지 않기를 간절히 기도한즉 삼년 육개월 동안 땅에 비가 아니 오고 [18] 다시 기도한즉 하늘이 비를 주고 땅이 열매를 내었느니라

[16] 그러므로 여러분은 서로 죄를 고백하고, 서로를 위하여 기도하십시오. 그러면 여러분은 낫게 될 것입니다. 의인이 간절히 비는 기도는 큰 효력을 냅니다. [17] 엘리야는 우리와 같은 본성을 가진 사람이었지만, 비가 오지 않도록 해 달라고 간절히 기도하니, 삼 년 육 개월 동안이나 땅에 비가 내리지 않았으며, [18] 다시 기도하니, 하늘이 비를 내리고, 땅은 그 열매를 맺었습니다.

[17] Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. [18] And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

James 5
[16] Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. [17] Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
